Praying for Turkey
through the fruits of Turkey
-
Pistachio
Praise God for the goodness and richness of Turkey.
Turkey is a beautiful country. The people are hospitible and full of life. May God get the glory or His creation.
-
Fig
Pray that the Turkish church would be fruitful in and out of season.
Fig trees are everywhere in Turkey. When a seed falls in a stone wall the tree will break the wall as it grows.
-
Apricot
May the Turkish church persevere through persecution.
Apricots are from the province of Malatya. In 2007 three Christians were killed in Malatya for their faith.
-
Leblebi
May God establish His church that will endure.
Leblebi are dry roasted garbanzo beans. Leblebi don’t taste good. They will probably sit in the container for forever. May church buildings be built in Turkey to endure for generations to come.
-
Hazelnut
Pray for Mark to serve with wisdom and love.
Hazelnuts are from the Black Sea region of Turkey where the Burns family served for 11 years. The Black Sea is near and dear to our heart.
