About

The call to go to the ends of the earth with the gospel started for me during summer school at Northern Arizona University in 2000. After university through the direction of my church, I learned of the situation in Turkey. Turkey has the smallest percentage of Christians of all the countries in the world.

Our family moved to Turkey in 2005 to work alongside the Turkish church. God equipped us through the local church.

In 2009 we moved to the western Black Sea coast where we were the only Christians in our city, province and even surrounding provinces. We prayed, witnessed, and served for years without seeing external fruit. However, we were being shaped and equipped.

In 2015 God connected us with Iranian refugee Christians and we came together to pray and worship. Over the next 5 years, people would continue to be added to our numbers and that church continues today.

In 2020 we left Turkey to help our children transition through high school to adulthood in the States. When we left Turkey I prayed for God to guide me as I held the passion for Turkey and the responsibility of being a parent at the same time.

During this time in the States, our children are doing well learning and stepping into adulthood. God has continued to allow me to serve the Turkish church through the partnership of our church and pastors in Turkey. Over the past 4 years, I have gone from being a fellow pastor in Turkey to an encourager and friend to pastors in Turkey. Coming alongside these pastors has empowered them to stand tall amid discouragement and difficulty. The experience, gifting, and language ability that God has given me is a blessing in serving pastors in Turkey.

Additionally, I hope to advocate for the Turkish church by connecting and informing the global church of the unique needs in Turkey. Real partnership is needed to encourage the Turkish church. Turkey is a mix of East and West, secular and religious. I hope to serve in facilitating genuine relationships between churches that will lead to the gospel being proclaimed in the unengaged cities and towns of Turkey.
