same skills, different context

Kathryn and I spent 15 years focusing on communicating well in Turkey. We were always students of the culture and sought God’s guidance to communicate the gospel in a way that would be received with the most clarity. In the same way I am having to learn to communicate here in a way that is understood and compelling in this context. I need to be thoughtful of the needs and preferences of people here. Please pray for me to grow in wisdom and favor as I share about the needs of the Turkish church. I have been blessed in participating in what God is doing in Turkey and I want to offer that to individuals and churches here.

• Please pray for me as I meet with people face to face.

• Pray that my podcast would be compelling and received.

• Pray for connections so that the needs of the Turkish church are met and that believers here are enriched by participating in the gospel being proclaimed to the ends of the earth.

Please also pray for my trip to Turkey at the end of October. Derek Natzke will be going with me. We will be visiting churches within the Foundation with whom I don’t currently have a formal relationship.

• Pray that God would use us to bless and encourage the leaders.

• Pray for wisdom to see if or how God would use me to come alongside and encourage them going forward.

• Pray for travel mercies as we will be visiting 6 cities.
