much to celebrate and pressing ahead

Thank you all so much for your prayers for the start of Barnaba Ministry. The launch desert was great. I appreciate everyone’s support and encouragement. At the same time it has been challenging because of transitioning out of my maintenance job at Ironwood Church and family events.

We celebrated the marriage of my son, Sam, with Berlynn this past Friday. It was a wonderful time and Kathryn and I are so proud of the man he is. This week our daughter Joy will be graduating from Queen Creek High School and we are proud and excited for her.

Balancing all of these big events and looking forward to doing Barnaba Ministry full time has made my job at Ironwood feel like I’m not giving enough. I know that this is a transition and that I have the support of the church but there is always a question in my mind that I’m forgetting to do something. Please pray for this transition.

It has been extremely sweet to receive texts from Suat and Hakan about my son’s wedding and my daughter’s university situation. I see this as an example of the fact that we are indeed walking together in life. Our conversations have been about genuine relationships lately. As much as we are able to have genuine relationship with each other it encourages each of us to pursue that with those around us.

I’m grateful for everyone who has started giving financially. 80% of the monthly goal still needs to be raised. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.
